Labour Day Weekend //2014

We spent our Labour Day weekend attending Tanner’s cousin’s wedding in the Vancouver LDS Temple. It brought back a lot of memories of our wedding day and although the happy couple looked all shiny and smiley, it was pretty nice to be on the other side of the events. I was not jealous of the exhausted couple when we snuck out of the reception early . Our wedding day was wonderful, but I can honestly say that every day since May 24, 2014 has been better and better…

Enough cheesiness, this weekend we also spent a lot of time with family. We stayed with Tanner’s cousin Jordan and his family. He has two adorable, really energetic kids… that reminded Tanner and I how much we appreciate this newlywed stage ;).

We also experienced a little bit of an adventure this weekend. We decided to check out the Othello Tunnels on our way home from Vancouver on Monday. On the path, Tanner was running around trying to keep up with kids and hyper-extended his knee. Tanner’s cousin carried him back and now I’ve got a pretty bored husband on the couch nursing his knee. It was kind of an anti-climatic way to end the weekend…except now our weekend just keeps going as we get to spend extra time together 🙂 Although Tanner isn’t so stoked about the situation, I’m soaking up every minute I get to keep him home with me.
