Today I was thinking about how social media has changed the way I see things. Don’t worry, this isn’t a rant about the evils of the internet. Rather, I was thinking about how I take time to notice the small things because of social media. When I look down and notice the leaves crunching under my feet, one of my first instincts is to take a picture and post it to Instagram. Is that pathetic? Maybe.
Or maybe not. As soon as September 22nd came around my feeds were full of pictures of leaves, hot chocolate, cozy scarves, pumpkins and other such Fall time emblems. Instead of just another season coming and going, I felt like I had missed the announcement that the first day of Fall is the new holiday! And I, for one, never like missing out on a reason to celebrate.
So here’s to the perfect temperature, those crunchy leaves, and cozy nights. Here’s to pulling boots out of storage, the smell of pumpkin spice, and gearing up for the holidays. And here’s to finding little reasons to celebrate anything in life, here’s to Fall.
