A few weeks ago we had a long weekend, and decided to go out adventuring together. We drove up to Wells Grey Provincial Park. After a quick stop at the visitor’s center, we chose a few hikes to check out. We stopped at Helmcken Falls, the 2nd largest waterfalls in Canada (only after Niagara Falls- who knew??), hiked around to some natural springs, and checked out some old homesteads.
Although it was a long weekend, the grey, drizzly day kept away the crowds. It felt like we were isolated from the world. Which felt so peaceful, until we saw fresh bear poo and realized being alone might not be the best idea. With the grey sky as the background, it felt like mother nature painted with extra vibrant colors that day. T put up with me playing amateur photographer and we stopped to take in all the little details surrounding us.
