The Monday after Sunday’s birthday, we had a big BBQ for friends and family to celebrate our little two year old.
How could I pick just one? I love that little face (even when the mosquitoes hosted a feast on her poor skin!).
^^I never thought I’d be one of those ‘matchy’ moms…but I honestly can’t resist when i see something in both their sizes. It’s too sweet.
I kinda just did an “animal theme” for our crazy little Sunday-Sue. She loves animals… and living with a two year old kinda feels like you’re in a zoo…it just seemed to fit. Auntie Kaila helped me get all the balloons and cupcakes ready the night before…and it all came together for our crazy, but lovable little two year old.
^^These little animals were quite the hit with Sunday…until she pulled all the hats off and couldn’t figure out how to get them to go back on… life with a two year old haha.
We had both sets of grandparents over, her auntie Kaila and uncle Blaine, and our friends from church the Kwasney’s, the Lamb’s, and the Astle’s.
I wish you could’ve seen the pile of presents Sunday got for her birthday! I won’t lie… I was a little overwhelmed seeing so much stuff for one little kid! She sure is loved, and very spoiled! She was given every paw patrol thing you think of, a ‘jump jump’ (ie mini trampoline) from Grandma and Grandpa Sherwood, a dollhouse from Grandma and Grandpa Smith, a ‘let it go dress’, a pretend make-up kit, and about a million other little toys I can’t even remember anymore haha. Honestly, she was so overwhelmed by all the gifts at the time, but everyone knew her so well because I can honestly say that she has used and loves all of her gifts!
^^She was a little timid about blowing out the candle…but with a little assistance she got it ;). She was definitely NOT as timid as she was last year about eating her cake haha.
It was so fun celebrating our Sunday-Sue. I’m so grateful for the little friends she made (and their mom’s that keep me company as we figure out this toddler thing), and our families that live close and love and spoil our girls. It was a wonderful day- thanks to wonderful girl.
One last thing, here’s your two year old birthday interview video. It’s crazy how much you’ve changed in one year! We love you!
