“Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure that you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hand to the sky and want more than all the world, your return.”

-Mary Jean Irion

Hey there kids,

Well, if you’re reading this in the year 2014 or anytime close, you’re probably not my kids. Actually, most likely you’re my mom, so hey mom!

If you’ve happened to stumble across this blog and you’re not our moms, then I’ll tell you a little about us. My name is Courtney and I’m married to Tanner. We are happily married newlyweds have been happily married for about 2 years now and are living in interior British Columbia. We think it’s the most beautiful place on earth, if you don’t agree then come check it out ;).T is finishing up school and I’m currently on maternity leave from teaching (and counting down the days till our baby girl arrives!).  T works with his dad and together they run a family business, while I’m a stay at home mom with our little girl, Sunday. We like to think our life together is pretty special and worth remembering. Really we’re just two ordinary people lucky enough to have fallen in love. I say lucky, because if you’ve experienced falling in love that you know it’s one amazing feeling.

Anyways, we wanted to create a way to remember our newlywed and beyond days. The most obvious and cliche way we thought of is through a blog. So hopefully our kids, and our older selves, can look back and reminisce this amazing journey of life.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Courtney, I’m so impressed with your scholastic capabilities this is such a well done journal & I loved every minute of it along with all your photos (they are what bring your marriage events to life) I especially enjoyed the real close-up photos, personal thoughts, experiences and how you came up with the “Helium Balloon” title for your kids-to-be. I hope you will keep this record of your upcoming years & events going & that I may be blessed to be apart of it.
    Hugs, Grandma
